Activations

Race week extended well beyond Albert Park with Audi activating in the city of Melbourne. AFLOAT was the centre of the action, a place for friends to gather and immerse themselves in the excitement of Formula 1®. Beyond the river, Audi teamed up with Nico's Deli and Axil Coffee Roasters to bring unique flavours and energy to Melbourne's vibrant laneway culture.
New arrivals
In a special moment during the Formula 1 celebrations, our AFLOAT activation saw the all-new Q3 unveiled for the first time in Australia, alongside arguably the fastest production SUV ever – the RSQ8 Performance.

The arrival of the new Audi RS 5 at the Albert Park Trackside Suite marked another significant chapter for Audi in 2026. Combining versatility with high-performance engineering, the latest RS 5 is sleek but powerful with a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 delivering 470kW and 825Nm¹ through permanent quattro all-wheel drive. It's yet to meet a corner it didn't like.
The Audi Q5 e-hybrid brings the much anticipated sequel to one of Audi’s most recognised SUV nameplates. With up to 100km of electric driving range and a new-generation high-voltage battery offering 45% greater capacity¹, it combines greater efficiency with the refinement and versatility expected from the iconic Q5 badge.

Audi R8 LMP
Originally created for the 2004 Bathurst 24 Hour race, the Audi R8 LMP900 Crocodile car became one of the most recognisable race liveries in Audi Sport history. More than two decades later, the car returned to Melbourne as part of the Audi Formula 1® debut celebrations – reconnecting the brand’s racing heritage with its newest chapter on the grid.

Every era of racing has moved us forward. From early victories to engineering firsts, each milestone has shaped how Audi engineers for the next race, and how we win. These are the moments that have led us here, to Formula 1®.
